Meet Betsy and Norman
I am Betsy, the farm dog, and I live in Chino Valley Arizona with my mom, dad, and my brother Norman, We live on a two acre farm. I am not sure why mom and dad call it a farm because all they raise is a small garden...and us! My mom picked ME (Betsy) from a litter of 12 puppies at the Maricopa County Animal Shelter on November 3, 2002 -- and what a find I was. Then in April of 2003, while mom and I were on a walk, we found Norman -- we think he came directly from heaven (at least my parents do).
When I came home I brought lots of presents from the shelter with me. Like...tape worms, kennel cough, and DISTEMPER. That's right my mom found an experimental medicine for distemper on the internet and that is why I am able to write to you. Norman also had Distemper, Infectious Colitis, and lots of Allergies when we found him on the street. Our vet built a whole new wing after we started going there -- mom says they should call it the Betsy and Norman wing. Instead they put our picture on one of the exam room doors -- it is quite cute.
We opened BestFriends General Store when mom could not find quality toys at great prices. Now Norman and I approve all of the toys. Since we have had so many requests for dog toys made in America we decided to open a store just dedicated to American ingenuity and dog products. Most of the products in this store are made in the USA with American made products -- if they are not made of USA products we will let you know.
Norman and I (Betsy) approve all of the products on this site. I specialize in flipping and shaking -- Norman just LOVES loud sounds -- together we make sure our toys have gone through a two dog tug test! We strive to have the best selection of dog toys on the internet! We think that you will approve of our selections.
Only four of us work at BFGS. I am the COOTWT (Chief Officer of the Whole Thing). Norman is the Director of Human Resources (he gets to bark at mom & dad when they make mistakes) and the Vice President of Inventory Control (sometimes he adjusts the inventory on his own) and my brother. Dad gets your package ready to ship, edits our videos, and is also in charge of games of fetch. Mom, well...she mainly takes naps; however, when she is not sleeping she answering the phones, does number stuff, and is in charge of pets and scratches.
