When I saw this collar at the Trade Show I went to in April -- I brought 2 home and put them right on Betsy and Norman. We have a picket fence and I had been frightened that one of them would jump up and catch their collar on the fence. This is a quality soft nylon collar made by Premier (they also make Gentle Leaders). When you want to walk your dog the leash easily attaches to an over-ride link. I would not let Betsy or Norman wear any other collar. The other night Betsy came into the house without her collar -- it was in the middle of the yard. I have to assume that when she and Norman were playing he was caught on her collar -- it could have had tragic results if she had not had on this collar!
